Meredith Lindsay had never competed for a beauty pageant prior to competing in the Oct 2011 Ms Selma Railroad Days competition held in Johnson County.  Despite that, when she heard that winning the local competition qualified her to run for Ms. North Carolina, she jumped at the opportunity.

For those of us who don’t normally keep up with these things, the Ms North Carolina pageant judges will select 10 finalists during the week of June 18th-23rd.  An 11th finalist can be voted in by the public by clicking the “like” button on a video from News 14′s website.

Meredith is a class-act individual helping out with various community charities and supporting her club “all-girls” cheerleading club that competes nationally for NC State.  Coming from a background that is anything but the typical “pageant girl”, it seems fitting that she be identified with NC State that also sets itself apart from the status-quo elitism you find in some of the other regional universities (we’re looking at you, Carolina).

Maybe I’m reading too much into things, but I feel like we have to stick together.  If there is one thing the Wolfpack world can do, it’s skew the Hell out of a poll.  Let’s get voting!

I just checked the site and Meredith Lindsay is ahead with 53 “likes”. The closest I found anyone else was 10 for Miss UNC Pembroke.

Who We Are

WolfpackWorld is created by an alumni of NC State University to talk about sports, campus events, and anything else affecting the university. We believe that sharing your opinions about NC State shouldn't be something that you have to be a web-genius or a member of some inside "old boys club" to enjoy. Good opinions also shouldn't be buried in the usual muck of online forums and web-communities. At WolfpackWorld, we believe being a fan is a part of who we are.

We openly invite anyone to submit material for public or private publishing. We have, and will, publish material from individuals under pseudo-names or under the WolfpackWorld handle. If you would like to contribute to our content, please visit our feedback form and let us know what's on your mind!
