What a game. A game where no one, not even that ‘one guy’ on that forum who swears he predicted it, thought NC State would win. A game where NC State came into the their own house without a hope of winning. The fans all showed up, tuned in, and donned their NC State apparel for their weekly season’s greetings, but everyone knew what was destined to happen.
Florida State was #3 in the country. They were a national title contender. They hadn’t a flaw to speak of. NC State had been publicly embarrassed by Tennessee, performer terribly against UConn, and been shoved around by Miami. Florida State knew the game was already won.
What a game.
The first quarter was over, Florida State was destined to win. The second quarter was over, Florida State was confident as ever. The third quarter was over, Florida State was annoyed, but little more. The fourth quarter was over, but it wasn’t. A glimmer of hope on several 4th down conversions and Glennon found a wide-open Bryan Underwood. NC State had tied the game with Nik Sade putting us over the top. Sixteen seconds left in the game and Florida State still knew the game had been won. Making it almost halfway up the field in 8 seconds wasn’t enough. Little ole NC State had beaten the mighty #3 Seminoles 17-16 and proved that once again, the Wolfpack can never be kept down.
In front of fans, family, Hall of Famers, and their teammates, the Wolfpack had won the game.
What a game.

WolfpackWorld is created by an alumni of NC State University to talk about sports, campus events, and anything else affecting the university. We believe that sharing your opinions about NC State shouldn't be something that you have to be a web-genius or a member of some inside "old boys club" to enjoy. Good opinions also shouldn't be buried in the usual muck of online forums and web-communities. At WolfpackWorld, we believe being a fan is a part of who we are.
Didn’t see this coming! the hurry-up was the deal. even saw a widcat formation. glad to see us not be so predictable!
Hey, adapt or perish, right? Very proud of our team. The best part about the timing of the win is we get to ride that win for two weeks!
This game will be part of Wolfpack lore, and I hope that it’s a stepping stone for this team and for Glennon. Games like this can change a player’s career (college and pro).
